OVERVIEW

What Is This Training?

For the first time ever, Eric Paskel and Rina Jakubowicz bring their renowned Yoga training to Athens, Greece, at the launch of KōR Yoga Studio.

They have a refreshing, stand-alone, one-of-a-kind training that does the impossible: Maintain the original texts and teachings while bringing them into today without sacrificing a single drop of meaning. Paskel & Jakubowicz emphasize that “Yoga was meant to build a life, not just a body.”

Yoga makes a promise that we will find “our true self.” This can only be found by transforming one’s inner personality, which can’t be done physically; Therefore, this is not a spa retreat. This is not a trendy quick-fix wellness weekend. This is yoga as it was meant to be: A navigation system for your body, mind and intellect — rooted in the 5,000-year-old teachings of Vedanta, made practical and alive by two of the most respected teachers working today.

Both teacher training paths begin together on September 17th with the Life Training weekend. Same campfire. Same teachers. Your path determines how far you take it. The transformation will happen if you give it the time and dedication the training requires.

Eric and Rina coined a saying: “If you can’t do it on the mat, you can’t do it in life.” There are direct links to showing up, practicing the way you want to live on your mat, and carrying it right into your life.

“Don’t come because you’re ready. Come because you’re real. That’s all one needs.”

CURRICULUM

What You Will Learn

Foundations of Yoga Philosophy & Vedanta

The Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras, the Upanishads — not as ancient relics, but as living tools for navigating work, relationships, and modern life. Rooted in Vedanta and the lineage of Swami Parthasarathy.

Theme Building

Every class carries four themes: physical, emotional, intellectual, and musical. When woven together, the magic happens. Mastering this is what separates a good class from an unforgettable one.

Teaching Methodology — The ‘Put It On’ Technique

Learn to read a room, adjust in real time, and lead students through an intentional sequence that creates a genuine experience — not just a workout.

Asana Practice, Alignment & the Six Awarenesses

A thorough, simplified approach to all poses — structure, mechanics, adjustments, and modifications — plus the Six Awarenesses developed by Eric and Rina to deepen how students experience themselves on the mat.

Anatomy & Physiology

A working understanding of joints, muscles, and organs — so you can adapt intelligently and adjust confidently in any room.

Pranayama & Breathwork

How varied breathing techniques shift the energy and focus of a room, affect the nervous system, and how to teach them with the value they deserve.

Mindfulness & Daily Practice

How to structure and standardize your life — prioritizing what’s essential, maintaining discipline, and showing up as the highest version of yourself. As you grow, so will your students.

Yogic Ethics & Lifestyle

Developing the intellect — logic, reason, reflection — so you can walk your talk. A deep trust and compassion built within yourself to live with intention and kindness.

Business of Yoga

How to make a living teaching yoga, build a sustainable career, and understand that marketing, branding, and community-building are all part of the practice.

Community Building

The art of creating a room where people feel seen and want to return — learning inclusion, holding space with warmth, and raising the bar for students who are hungry for more.

Practical Teaching Experience

You will teach 12 classes with real students and receive feedback from both them and your teachers. Your certification will be earned — and that confidence carries well beyond the mat.

YOUR TEACHERS

Bold. Honest. Deeply Human.

THE PROGRAMS

Two Paths. Both Year-Long.

The year-long structure is intentional. Real integration takes time. The practicum portion ensures you have the time and support to practice what you are learning in a safe, structured environment before you go off and spread your voice with the world. They begin in-person in Athens in September 2026 and continue online for the full year through a combination of live weekly check-ins, self-guided learning through an online platform, and structured assignments and teacher feedback through Google Classroom.

Daily Schedule (In-Person Weekends)

Both in-person weekends run 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily.

Lodging & Travel

The in-person weekends take place in Athens, Greece. Accommodation and travel are not included in tuition and must be arranged and paid for separately. We are happy to offer guidance on the area when you register.

WHAT STUDENTS SAY

Real Words. Real Students. Real Teachers.

“Many years have passed since I took this Teacher Training, and I said it then and I keep repeating it — it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Yoga gave me my voice. I went from being a shy, insecure person to a confident woman in all aspects of life.”

— Heidy Toledo, Teacher Training Graduate and Current Yoga Teacher

“Rina is an endless well of inspiration. A true seeker of the highest ideals, a pillar of mental strength — and yet still a child of the world, keeping the wonder and silly fun we all lose too early. Rina achieves this from the most important place: within yourself.”

— Jordon Benson, Teacher Training Graduate and Current Yoga Teacher

“Eric, Today I was able to return to my job after being gone for more than a year and a half. I can honestly say if it wasn’t for your Life Training program I would not be able to do this. I was so engulfed in fear and poor self esteem I couldn’t even imagine ever returning to the work I love. But you & everyone at training has empowered me. The teachings are so enriching and encouraging. I know I have a LONG way to go but this step of having the courage to return to work and look to the future with hope is a true blessing. Thanks for all you do. I truly appreciate you and what you’ve created.”

— Fern

FAQ

Questions We Actually Get Asked

Do I need to want to teach to do this training?

Not at all. Many graduates came in with no intention of standing in front of a class — and found it to be one of the most significant experiences of their lives. The work here is about you first. Teaching is one possible outcome, not the only one.

I’ve never done a teacher training before. Is the 200-hour right for me?

Yes. It’s designed for practitioners at all levels — no prior credentials or desire to teach required. If you practice yoga and feel the pull to go deeper, that’s enough.

What is Vedanta and why does it matter?

It’s one of the oldest living philosophical traditions in the world — not religion, but a rigorous system of inquiry into the nature of the self. Eric and Rina’s lineage traces directly to Swami Parthasarathy. In practice, it gives you tools that work in relationships, work, parenting, and recovery — not just on a mat.

How is this different from other teacher trainings?

Most trainings teach sequences to memorize and cues to repeat. This one teaches you how to think. The philosophy, the themes, the methodology — all designed to develop your character, not just your credentials. Graduates don’t sound like us. They sound like themselves — only more so.

What does “year-long” actually mean?

Two weekends in Athens in September (9 AM–5 PM daily), then a full year online — weekly live Zoom check-ins, self-guided coursework on Kajabi, structured assignments, and your practicum sessions. Designed to integrate into your real life, not require you to stop it.

I live outside Greece. Can I still participate?

Yes. The in-person weekends require travel to Athens — accommodation is separate and not included. Everything else is fully online and accessible from anywhere.

What is included in tuition? What isn’t?

Included: all training content, online platform access, live Zoom sessions, Google Classroom, teacher feedback, and your Yoga Alliance certification.
Not included: printed manual, required books, flights, accommodation, meals, and travel to Athens.

What if the program doesn’t reach minimum enrollment?

A minimum of 10 participants is required. If that isn’t met, all payments transfer in full to the next available training. You won’t lose your investment.

What is Yoga Alliance and why does it matter?

The largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community worldwide. An RYT credential from a Yoga Alliance Registered School is the internationally recognized standard — accepted by studios, gyms, and wellness facilities around the world. This program is fully registered at both RYS-200 and RYS-300 levels.

Can I get certified in both 200 and 300 hours?

The 300-hour requires an existing RYT-200. Complete the 200-hour here and you’ll be eligible for the 300-hour in a future cohort.
